Storyboard
Purpose
To document a continuous improvement project through descriptive pictures and graphs accompanied by simple text.
Guidelines
- The team should begin developing the process storyboard at the beginning of their process study and keep it updated after major milestones.
- Keep the information clear, concise, and simple. It should include the highlights, not every activity of the team.
- Use the storyboard to chart progress and to keep others informed. Teams may want to display poster-sized copies for viewing by non-team members.
- Use pictures, graphs, and data wherever possible rather than narrative. Narratives should be succinct and to the point, rather than overly descriptive.
